Getting Started

The two key elements of Pilates are core stability and spinal alignment. The core musculature refers to the spine, abdomen, pelvis, hips and the muscles that support these structures. Emphasis is placed on the breath, the contraction of the muscles and the quality of the movement.

NEW TO PILATES? Sign up for an introduction package it consist of 6 Private reformer sessions and 10 group classes, a 60% savings! Call the studio to get started with your Pilates program.

To establish a foundation in the technique and build confidence, we recommend a one-on-one introductory session followed by five private sessions and 10 group classes. This allows you to learn the repertoire and create a program specifically for you. Following your introductory sessions the following options are available to you:

  • Private: one-on one personal training
  • Semi-private: work out with a friend or spouse
  • Group class:  join a regularly scheduled group Reformer or Matwork class or coordinate your own group with a minimum of four people.

Sessions are approximately one hour, please arrive a few minutes early. Comfortable exercise clothing is recommended. Shoes are not allowed in the studio unless you are taking TRX or Indo-Row.

Cancellation Policy: If you are unable to attend a scheduled or private session, please call 24 hours in advance to advise us of your cancellation; otherwise your session will be charged the full rate.

Fox Pilates is not a drop in studio and space is limited.
